The Kindred Spirit Band are a five-piece, featuring the “perceptive and intriguing” songs, “haunting and
beautiful” voice and rhythm guitar work of Elaine Samuels. They are known for weaving thrilling electric
violin or guitar and flute or sax with compelling and uplifting stories, driving bass and drum rhythms and
two female vocals.
They have been performing and recording albums as a band in this form, since the early 2000s and have
performed at some prestigious venues and events, such as Liverpool’s Cavern Club, Weyfest, A New Day
Festival and HRH Prog Festival. They have been embraced by the prog rock world, with features in Prog
magazine and Classic Rock Society’s magazine.
